Bigender Pride Flag
History
The Bigender Pride Flag emerged from Tumblr gender-identity communities around 2014–2015. Bigender describes people who experience two distinct genders, either simultaneously or alternating. The flag distinguishes bigender identity from gender fluidity (which implies movement) and from non-binary (which often implies a position outside or between genders) by specifically centring the coexistence or alternation of two defined genders.
Colors
pink, yellow, white, purple, blue
Pink and blue represent the two genders a bigender person moves between or combines; yellow represents non-binary gender; white represents all genders; purple represents a mix of genders.
Symbols
five horizontal stripes
The pink-to-blue movement across the flag reflects moving between or combining two gender identities.
