Blackbeard's Flag
History
Edward Teach, better known as Blackbeard, was one of the most feared pirates of the Golden Age of Piracy. His flag depicted a horned skeleton holding an hourglass and spearing a heart. Blackbeard was killed in battle off the coast of North Carolina on November 22, 1718.
